Darrin Erickson is the Portfolio manager of the VPI
Global Equity Pool, global component of the VPI Income Pool and the VPI Special Opportunities Pool with the help of Adam Duncan and Puyu Zhang. Prior to
working at Value Partners Investments Darrin was a portfolio manager at
Great-West Life Investment Management, formers manager of pension investments
at Manitoba Telecom Services.
Darrin completed his MBA at the University of
Alberta and Master of Arts from the University of British Columbia. As a
Chartered Financial Analyst chartholder and more than 26 years of experience in
the investment industry Darrin’s motive has continued to stay the same. With
the help of the VPI Business Development Team, as well as advisors, the aim has
always been to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Darrin’s investment approach combines fundamental
analysis with factor-based quantitative models that has a track record of
generating consistently strong performance. He also believes in providing
sound, unbiased investment advice and thinks it is essential that investors
know what they own and why they own it.
Away from the
office Darrin loves to travel, play golf and hike. His favourite travel
experience to date include circumventing Cape Horn and seeing Angkor Wat at
sunrise.
