Partnering for Performance: Keystone's Commitment to Diligent Investing

At Keystone Private Wealth, we believe that great financial advice starts with a deep understanding of the businesses our clients invest in.

That's why Rob Barfuss, Financial Planner and founder of Keystone Private Wealth, has built his practice around a simple but powerful principle:

Know what you own, and know who's managing it.

A Hands-On, Client-First Approach

Rob works closely with a select group of portfolio managers who share his commitment to long-term thinking, transparency, and performance. These relationships aren't just professional; they're collaborative. Rob regularly attends manager meetings, asks tough questions, and monitors strategy alignment to ensure that every investment decision supports the goals of the families he serves.

Due Diligence That Goes Beyond the Desk

One standout example of Rob’s diligence came in 2016 when he personally funded a site visit to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to meet Marcus Smith, President of Speedway Motorsports Inc.

That visit wasn't about checking a box. It was about kicking the tires, meeting leadership face-to-face, and gaining firsthand insight into a business that was held in client portfolio's at the time. It's just one of many instances where Rob has gone the extra mile to understand the companies behind the portfolios.

Ongoing Engagement That Benefits Clients

Rob's commitment to diligence continues today. He maintains regular contact with portfolio managers, attends regular update meetings, and keeps clients informed about key buy/sell decisions. He believes that clients deserve clarity, not just about performance, but also the decisions being made.

As Gregg Filmon, President of Value Partners Investments, puts it:

"Rob goes the extra mile to truly understand the companies we own. Very few advisors make that kind of commitment."

Investing with Purpose

For Rob Barfuss, it's more than just managing assets—it's about building trust.

That trust is earned through transparency, diligence, and a relentless focus on doing what’s right for clients. It’s why Rob takes the time to understand the businesses behind the numbers, and why he partners only with those who share that same commitment.

At Keystone Private Wealth, we believe that when clients understand what they own and why they own it, they make better decisions, feel more confident, and stay focused on what matters most: living the life they’ve worked hard to build.
